I won’t ever stop thinking about this anniversary session in Canmore!! Mel and Andrew are from two different sides of earth. They both found themselves in Alberta’s rocky mountains, in the town of Canmore. They were working at a restaurant where their love story began. Mel is from the cold province of Manitoba and Andrew is from Australia. I’ll always wonder what brings people to Alberta. It can get so dang cold and then I see the mountains and I’m like uhm yep, fricking gorgeous!! Canmore is my favourite mountain town in Alberta. It is mine and my husband’s go-to place for a weekend getaway!

These cuties celebrated their two year anniversary and we found ourselves in a spot near Canmore. The open fields met the stunning mountains. Mel and Andrew’s free time can be spent taking in the scenic views of Canmore or relaxing on one of many patios! I asked them what their favourite places in Canmore are.

Their Favourite Places!

Blake is their favourite place for dinner. The Wood for patio drinks and appies. Eclipse Coffee Roasters for all their caffeine needs and Summit Cafe for breakfast. If Mel is working, Andrew will often be at Canmore Golf and Curling Club hitting some golf balls. Mel said they love checking out local vendors at the Canmore Mountain Market. The market takes place every Thursday in the summer! On days they’re not hitting up Canmore’s food and beverage scene, they’ll be down by the river with a hammock or blanket. Soaking up all the time together! In the winter they head into Banff National Park and ski at Sunshine Village.

After reading this, you cannot convince me Mel and Andrew are not some of the coolest people EVER. Living all of our dream lives in a small mountain town!
